The Two Week Battle

The trap was sprung.

The Largest coalition force ever assembled marches on Hithilium. Upon arriving, the supply lines are assaulted, as well as Dasverdachs. The army pushes into Hithilium and finds it to be a tangle of dens and burrows. With no way to escape, they hunker down into a long agonizing battle. By the end of two weeks, Coalition forces had been carved down to a third of their former size. Several times the enemy lines were breached, only for the breachers to be torn down in the dark forests. On the fifteenth day, a force of elves from the East breach the lines and add their force to the Coalition, bringing it back to it's former fighting power and supplying the soldiers with a much needed reprieve. The following day a final, successful push scatters the Dark forces.
