West of Wakanda, beyond the wide river of Sekot'a, lies the great Teno'Chyt rain forest. All manner of bird, beast and creeping thing reside in that vast emerald inferno, but no human has lived in there. Expeditions into the jungle result in injuries, wasting sickness, and death. Settlers who have burned back the forest build houses that are swiftly abandoned.
For a night in the forest is perilous, more so then a day in the midst of the Scorch in Al-Siddig. Elves are rumored to inhabit the western hills of that expanse, but if they exist, they are distant and unconcerned with humanity or the greater world.
The Panther Kings have established a defensive ward on the east side of the banks in an effort to hold back the danger that lurks in the deep green. Legend has it that the river was established as the border between humanity and nature some thousand years ago, and that the first Panther King was responsible for settling on this boundary with an entity who identified herself as 'the Queen'. This Queen has cropped up in fairy tells and ghost stories alike, often as figure of cold indifference and thinly veiled malevolence. In these stories she often has figures of terror in her service; tall dark strangers and groaning fogs.
