The Druidic Tradition
The Druidic Tradition is amongst the oldest religious traditions in Earssea, preceded only by the Eldar Faith, and the Draconic cult. It is a loose confederation of multiple cults known as Circles with loose connections between each other. If multiple Druid Circles work together, a Grove is formed and maintained.
Druidism values individual growth, a fate of servitude, and the pursuit of harmony with nature. Druids also naturally attune to a Focus, an inherent source of magic. A focus is generally a plant or animal, although some druids attune to celestial objects. It is rare for a Druid to have multiple focuses.
Those who consider themselves Druids observe these Four tenets:
- An Individual must be true to their Focus, nothing should obscure their sight.
- As a Grove is made up of Individual Trees, many diverse natures provide multiple blessings.
- As a Circle is made up of points equidistant from the Focus, individuals do not put themselves before others.
- As a tree reaches unto the Sky, so too should a wise Druid grow.
