The Bridge of Heaven

Given many names by many cultures, (the skybridge, the godway, via da Luna) The Bridge of Heaven is an arc of debris that orbits Earssea at a high orbit. To the naked eye it is thin arch, appearing as a line at equatorial latitudes and as a faint bow of pale light at higher climes. In recent history, scholars have studied it with an invention called the telescope. It is determined that it orbits the world on a yearly basis and is made up of white stones with few exceptions.   Like the moon and sun it is a common figure in many myths and legends, but ultimately is an accepted phenomenon in the world. The time of night can be easily gauged by watching the shadow of the world cover it on a clear night.
