El-Hiemdele

The largest Sanctuary, at one point spanning the eastern portion of the Southron Region, as far south as the Lawless Isles, as far north as Trickldell, and bordered the younger human realm of Bulvirk. The elves that call this land home are the Neldar or High Elves. The capital before the Darkness was Hithilium, though it was destroyed in the Dark Ascension. Now El-Hiemdele is a small country between the Eastern Sea and the Grey mountains.
The Neldar have perfected magically infused architecture and as a result have developed a truly fantastic city in Amelthelune. This is in truth, the Sanctuary, as it is removed in part from our world by magical means. Its only Straight Path is at Tol-Neldar, and only a full-blooded elf may pass.
The Sanctuary is governed by High Ascendancy, a council of seven aristocrats, who tend to pass their power to an heir of their own choosing. Many have marked this as a sign of the corruption in the Neldarin society. Nonetheless, The Neldar are known to be well versed in arcana and other sciences.
