Manor Isle

Manor Isle is one of the few parts of Kalana that can truly be called "tolerable to look at." It is the equivalent of a gated community, where various pirate-kings and rich thieves make their homes.

Demographics

Of the nine households in Manor Isle, five are primarily human, two are primarily halfling, one is primarily tiefling, and one is primarily half-orc.

Defences

Pirates are notoriously greedy, and notoriously untrustworthy. The manors are all trapped three ways from Sunday.

Infrastructure

All of the estates are on separate rafts, meaning there are an incredible amount of fancy bridges. This makes it somewhat hard to implement a sewer system, but they've tried anyway.

History

The first of Manor Isle's estates was built in 663, when Captain Orzug decided to retire from piracy, but couldn't in most nations due to being a wanted criminal everywhere. Zilon Blue, the infamous thief and a good friend of Orzug, built her estate near his in 682, and thus established somewhat of a pattern for those wishing to, for some reason, build mansions in Kalana.

Architecture

Somewhat varied by individual taste. Somewhat limited by the fact that it has to float.

Geography

They are connected by a veritable cobweb of bridges, yet only two bridges connect Manor Isle to the rest of Kalana. It is located on the northern side of the Scavenged Isle, off of Driftwood Hill.
