Evasmey

Early Life

The First Age has come and gone, and with it Haendorionae civilization. Few survivors walk the earth, devastated by their lost home. But a new generation is blooming, a new home grows in a new land. Much work must be done, but hope is budding once more.

Born from two parents who loved him more than anything in the world, Evasmey was a well-nurtured child. With an ever-full belly and a desire to learn, Evasmey grew up happy, healthy, and incredibly bright. However, he soon saw that few among his village shared his joy in life. As he grew older, he resolved that he must help his people if they were to move on from the trauma of the Fires. While he was not skilled in craftsmanship or farming or woodwork, his words held much power. He could rally Men behind his voice, soothe fears and ease sorrows. He had a great talent for leadership, and few rivaled his natural charm.

Evasmey was privileged, but he loved the race of Men and strove to help it in his own way. He spoke publicly about spirituality and guidance, and he shared poems and retelling of myths. Soon he amasses a large group of followers, which he taught in spiritual matters so that they also could share wisdom to the growing settlements of Men. Through this work Evasmey forged the path of what would become the Church of the Sun.

Looking Back

While Evasmey himself did not accomplish much in his lifetime, he set off a movement of peace and wisdom that rolled down the slope of time, gaining momentum and power until it became the might organization it is today. In fact, he himself was rather unremarkable, but he introduced the idea of nurturing mental health with spirituality, community, and art. These pillars are the true values of his legacy, and they are what the Church of the Sun was built upon
