Church of The One True God

The One True God is the main god of Vownile, Borston, and Groffision. The followers of The One True God believe that he is the only god that is true and that any other deity that claims godhood is false and wretched and has the goal of consuming the souls of their believers. The only manner to communicate with The One True God is through The Church of The One True God. The Church claims that The One True God is too holy to communicate with every person, this is why he has chosen some of the best individuals to be his priests, and he uses them to stir his follower.

History

In the year 921 after the unification of the Kingdoms , a new religion has formed. The well-respected king of The new Kingdom of Vownile "Leobert", has sailed to battle with his army to attack the flee of [insert captain] in the battle that came to be known as "Stary Night Battle". The great Leobert has fallen this night, his vice has given this testimony of Leobert's alleged last moments:

"It was one cold night, the stars were bright in the sky and the wind whaled in our ears. The fight was close to over, the win was in our grasps. I saw Leobert standing behind a cannon, he held his golden musket and shot at the barbarien enemy. I was standing right beside him, I was aiming at one rubbish looking pirate as I heard a bullet passing next to me. I looked right and I saw Leobert standing there, not moving, with his hand on his chest. suddenly the entire fight stopped, there was no sound, nothing but the sound of Leobert's body hitting the water, as he falls over the ledge. We kept fighting with the new hunger for vengence, and we slew each and every one of them.

Yet two weeks later, after the spectacular ceremony and the build of a beautiful memorial, Leobert has returned. He has come from the sky riding a white bird dragon with the message of the One True God.
The One True God spread across the Kingdoms and quickly became the main god of the Kingdoms. The Church also has grown into power and came to have political power in the kingdoms. The god was worshiped by most of the people in the cities but was less popular in the villages, The ones who didn't convert, has lived in peace with the ones that prays the One True God.
In the year 986, The Church has decided that not worshiping the One True God is illegal and outlawed some races. This came along with the raise of The Redeemers.

The Rules

The religion of The One True God is very institutionalized, it has its own specific set of rules and don't allow its worshipers freedom of choice and the ability to worship in their own ways. It is believed that the rules were given toLeobert Hillington the First, The profit of The One True God, by The One True God himself on the day he died, the rules are this:

I am God, and there are none but me.

Aspire to be as holy as I.

Respect thy God, and his holy men.

Never raise a blade against thy neighbor.

Never speak falsely of or to thy neighbor.

Don’t run nor fear of fighting the war of God, I will strenghen thy hand in heat of battle.

The fate of a man is detered only by thy God or his men.

The Un-Holy

The Un-Holy are people whom the Church finds not worthy of living, these creatures are considered unnatural or unholy. These are counted as Un-Holy:

• Demons and Fiends (Including Tieflings)
• Fey
• Undead
• Aberration
• Monstrosity
• Orcs/Goblins/Trolls/etc.
• Dragonborn (not dragons) and other Monster/Humanoid hybrids.
• Heretics
• Pirates (and other criminals)
• etc.

Reasoning

• The Demons and Fiends are the enemies of Light and God, they should not exit the depths.
• Feys use trickery and false gods to diverge us from lives of light and holiness.
• The ones who died cannot be forced back to life, Only god can permit one return to the living world.
• These wicked creatures exist to spite God, we should perish them.
• Monsters were created to disturb the lives of each man and woman, we can't let them roam.
• These creatures want us to consider them as men, so they could rot us from the inside.
• The ones who left their humanity behind, don't deserve to walk among us.
• The ones who deny God, shell be sent the farthest away from him.
• Wretched people who will lie, steal, and murder, all in an attempt to prevent salvation.
