Mistwood
In Hyrsyli mythology, the Mistwood was a place stolen from the God Zivec by Veles, and was used to create hordes of undead, as the Amulets of Zivec had no power there unless directly present, making the forest, technically, another plane of existence or another dimension. Nothing grows in Mistwood, and any who die there rise again as zombies who endlessly shamble, though cannot leave without help from a powerful sorcerer or Lich. A lone tower stands in the depths of Mistwood, and has been home to many necromancers and necromantic cults through the centuries, though none as powerful as Savinerco, dubbed the Dead King by those living who follow him. Savinerco has harnessed the undead of Mistwood and built an army. He is a powerful Lich, drawing from the dark energy of the forest. If the three Amulets of Zivec were to be placed in the tower, the forest would live again, and all undead within would remain dead, including Savinerco.
Geography
Dead trees border the open steppe of the Myrrod Tsardom. A dense fog rests on the forest, limiting vision to just a few meters.
Fauna & Flora
No grass grows in the forest. The soil is grey and dry. The only moving things in the wood are the undead who wander aimlessly until finding prey.
