The Stormasons.

Currently,The Stormasons are the proud maintainers of the buildings and storm gates in the city of Stormspire, But long ago,they had a much larger role in Stormspire.As one of the founding groups of Stormspire,The Masons built the citadel itself,As a gift to the Ancient followers of the sun,Before giving up Storm Worship and converting to Sun worshippers.The Masons would never give up the pride they had in their people,their culture and above all their craft.This marked the creation of the beautiful Halls of Stone,The massive complex holding the Stormforge,The only forge capable of generating enough heat to produce the materials needed to build and maintain the massive Stormgates that divert otherwise deadly storm surges that batter the city. In the early years of Stormspire,The masons and the Clerics of the sun held equal power in running the city,as each had it's part,one in building the city,and one it making its laws,while both establishments provided guards men for the city.Over time,the city could expand no further,and the Masons found themselves losing power,as they began to rely on The citadel to fund its maintenance projects,and subsidize it's guard force.Eventually,like the rest of Stormspire,the Masons would exist to serve The Citadel.

Structure

Those to are accepted into the Halls of Stone for apprenticeship all start in the same place,maintaining the city's crumbling roads and wall to get experience working with woven stone.After One reaches his journeymanship,He must make a decision,to either continue working towards making and maintaining structures within the city,or becoming a stone smith and learning to either work armor or weapons out of woven stone.Those few who go on to become masters of the craft,learn age old process of creating woven stone,as well as using the Stormforge.

The Halls of Stone are home to the finest and most classical equipment used to create truly beautiful,and fearsome, weaponry and armor.While anyone with an anvil and furnace in the land is capable of smithing woven stone,Only the Stormforge(and those who can use it) are able to carefully unite solid stone and the often difficult to work elements to create workable Woven stone Ingots.

Before helping to establish The Stormspire,Before falling into the same path as the Ancient Followers of the Sun,The Stormasons pledged their loyalty to a city that has long since been lost to the Darkness.Masons that have had the tales of the Ancient Stormasons passed down to them tell stories of an enigmatic people that begot the masons,a people that worshipped and harnessed the power of the storms themselves.....
