The Nation of Alin-Tar

Religion

The single most common religion in Alin-Tar is the worship of the Platinum Dragon, Bahamut.   It is not, however, the only religion observed, as in certain Duchies, the Lady of the Lake has become the predominant goddess of worship, and in others still, particularly the elven contingents, older gods are seen and worshiped.

Agriculture & Industry

By far, Alin-Tar's greatest strength are its agricultural roots. With fields fertilised by long-dormant volcanos, and great swathes of plains and fields, Alin-Tar has become premier in food production on the Iratian continent.   Great, sweeping fields of grain, and enormous silos dot the landscape, breaking up the ocean of green grasslands that is Alin-Tar.

Currency
The official currency of Alin-Tar is the Royal, which comes in denominations of bronze, silver and gold. For particularly large organisations, or extremely large transactions, Platinum Royals may be employed.
Legislative Body
Though the Arch-Royale is the penultimate voice of law in Alin-Tar, in practise there are a number of steps undertaken.   First, the Arch-Royal consults with the Council of Six, who oft provide him with advice.   Once they have reached an accord, the law is presented to each of the six duchies, so that the public may provide input, which is generally taken into consideration.   Finally, the law is presented at the Temple of Bahamut, such that the Platinum Dragon may judge its worthiness.
Judicial Body
Both to prevent the Arch-Royale being the voice of absolute justice in Alin-Tar, and to allow him more time to prevent other duties, the laws of Alin-Tar are enforced by the Dragon Court.   The Dragon Court is headed by twelve individuals, who deal with any and all legal disputes brought to them. There is a court for each Duchy, and a Supreme Dragon Court, whose say is final in most all matters of law.
