Tycheros

A far off land, disconnected from the Empire far to the north. People often call the the Tycherosi people strangers, and their lineage contains the blood of demons. it is a semi-mythical place that very few people have actually visited. Conversely the Tycherosi also often remain tight lipped about the nature of their home. Those that do return report a land of many riches, grand and exotic, with wealth beyond measure. Often they are unable to describe the nature of what they have seen, finding it difficult to bring the words to bear. It appears to be a fertile place, with many rivers and and planes supporting grand cities with imposing architecture. Grand trees tower over everything, providing shelter and protection for entire villages.   Climate From the scattered remains of accounts, the climate does not reflect the unusual nature of the land. It is relatively calm, and contained, with enough rain to allow the food production necessary for a civilisation to survive. Despite this the few that have seen the ferocity of the storms that can rage across the lands live forever in a subdued awe. fire and lightning cracking both the sky and earth, great earthquakes, death and destruction as far as the eye can see.   Wildlife just as the land itself is odd, the wildlife appears to be like nothing elsewhere in the isles. Birds of a giant size, and swarms of insects that can strip a man to the bone in less than an hour. Across Doskvol the Gillyfoot has its origin blamed on merchants from Tycheros. the Tycherosi claim that it does not have enough eyes, and whether that is a re-assurance or terrifying is down to the individual.   Culture Tycheros reports an obscure but clearly defined hierarchy and social code. Many who leave are outcasts, who are no longer able to survive in the restrictive lines that hold the society together. The Provence is ruled by an emperor, whose authority is supreme in those lands and who has more autonomy than any other province. One of the most notable elements of the Tycherosi people is the intermingling of Demons in this land. Bloodlines are often contaminated by the blood of demons, leaving individuals with distinct traits that give away their heritage. Demons are welcomed without the suspicion of other provinces and often openly hold positions of power and influence, treated as no more than immensely powerful individuals.   The Imperium It is often wondered how Tycheros became part of the Imperium, especially considering its remoteness and the power its Emperor holds. the truth will never be known as it appears to have been a personal concord between the Tycherosi emperor and the Immortal Emperor of the Imperium. The Tycherosi are found rarely throughout the empire and often hold themselves aloof from the concerns and issues of others. The demonic bloodlines that stretch within them will forever mark them out as different from the general population and have been the cause of pogroms, especially among the devout of The Church of the Ecstasy of the Flesh
