Maggiore Mountains

Reaching into The Glass Desert and beyond, the Maggiore mountain range is an expansive grouping of many mountains that slowly recede into the ocean at the north, and fade into the earth towards the south. The mountains are mainly formed of sandstone and gneiss, and do not extend far enough in the air for snow to be sustained on their peaks. The temperature and humidity, however, are perfect conditions for various species of grapes to grow within. Shaded areas of the Maggiore are littered with creeping vines, watered by morning dew and given ample sunlight to ripen multiple times each year.
