Crumizur and Aeslung

Notable allies of Linrea and Calumdor, Crumizur and Aeslung have played a large part in the politics and progress of both kingdoms, especially in the Linrean-Calumdorian War.
Linrea allied with Crumizur only 27 years ago-- On the 2nd of Shepi, 3881. What began as a simple trading partnership quickly evolved into an alliance, with both sides promising to help one another in conflict and to continue the constant exchange of Linrea's coin for Crumizur's technology. Crumizur is hailed as the savior of Jagmider, as their vast and in-depth knowledge of fire allowed the Dwarves to cleanse the mines of infestation and to restart the then-cold forge. This expansive knowledge of fire comes from their devotion to it, treating fire as the force of life-- and spreading it to thank it for sustaining them. Every settlement under Crumizur's rule contains a central, protected flame carried from the main settlement on foot. This flame serves as the life of the settlement-- and if something were to happen to this flame, consequences would be dire. The citizens could be exiled, the leader maimed, or the entire town slaughtered for their disrespect of the fire that gave them life. Extinguishment of the flame is, effectively, extinguishment of their lives. The only way one could earn back the respect of Crumizur is to redeem themselves through fire- the burn must be adequate and ample to properly redeem those who have disrespected the flame.
Aeslung, on the other hand, has a vastly different and much less violent history. It was born from a simple expedition of Calumdorian explorers. The large, untouched western landforms offered security and secrecy from the eyes of the outside world-- very few maps actually documented their existence. Slowly the expedition began to break ground and establish outposts within the new areas, which eventually grew into settlements as more and more Calumdorians arrived on the new shores eager to take part in the kingdom's expansion. What had began as a ship full of explorers had grown into its own community, becoming self-sufficient and self-governing, and no longer hidden from the rest of the world. This fact was quickly taken note by King Edward Eiskalt's great-great-grandfather, who struck an agreement with the leader of the expedition to establish their new territory as a kingdom separate from the Calumdorian name. Thus, Aeslung was born-- now it's own kingdom and expanding ever-further, much to the jealousy of Edward. This new kingdom still holds it's connections to Calumdor, and many decisions effecting Calumdor subsequently effect Aeslung. It maintains a strong alliance with it's former ruler and both kingdoms fight alongside one another when the need arises-- an ironic agreement considering the outcome of the Linrean-Calumdorian war, and the failure of Aeslung to support it's ally.

A little fire is quickly trodden out, which being suffered, rivers cannot quench... Courage under community, community under cooperation
