General factions

Factions are too numerous to detail entirely in a general document; they would need to be observed on a national level. For instance, there are many different factions in the Holy Dragon Empire. Nonetheless, while there are many different schools of thoughts, they can be divided into a few different categories:

• Pacifists: A lot of people on Domhan are tired of the constant warring between the nations, and would rather it all come to an end; so that a lasting area of peace and cultural growth could finally start.
• Ako's True Believers: Ako's True Believers posit that the troubles of Domhan started when Ako departed. They believe that the return of Ako is paramount if Domhan is to be united at last. They look to ancient knowledge, lore, and rituals in order to bring it back to the world.
• Warmongers: Those who call themselves warmongers are more than happy with the current world situation. Whether it be for profit or because of a preference for war and fighting, these people are happy to let the status quo continue - or to cause even more trouble.
• Neutrals: Some people aren't exactly happy with the current situation, but decide that fighting against impossible odds is out of their hands. They prefer to exile themselves, either going to Eolas or to Gestrini, in order to find some measure of peace.
