Fleshcrafting

Fleshcrafting is an art invented in Welmenni. It involves the modification of Husks in order for them to be better; usually, this process creates Unusual Husks, though it can also be used to fix anomalies or normally-permanent wounds (such as one's head being cut off).   By 1185, this technology has been exported to the rest of Domhan, and all nations now boast a steady supply of fleshcrafters that can be used to modify Husks.   Fleshcrafters are also critical in preserving Husks, and in preventing any theft that may happen. As Husks are an important strategical resource for all Veikas, fleshcrafters are often granted expansive and well-protected facilities in which they can exercise their art. Such facilities are often quite cold, as it prevents flesh from rotting as quickly as it normally would.
