Majella Phenomenon

The Majella Phenomenon is a pregnancy complication akin to an auto-immune reaction first described by Italian scientist Dr. Fiorenza Majella in the early 90s.
Occuring in the first or second month of pregnancy, it leads it a miscarriage in any and all embryos conceived by one Super and one non-super parent.
Due to the Majella Phenomenon, Supers are scientificially considered to be a different species than Humans, though such a classification is controversial all around the world due to questions of civil and human rights, and issues of discrimination.
Attempts to circumvent or treat the phenomenon, such as the Seoul National University Surrogate Trial Program have been met with failure.
