Antipode

/*Jack*/

/*Morgan*/

(a.k.a. Venator, Antipode)

Venator, also known as Antipode, is a Rogue active in Cape St. Joan, Oregon. Recognised for his adaptable powerset, her is also an active internet personality, often uploading videos of his exploits to various websites.   A partner of Analogue, he also works as a superpowered mercenary.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Jack is a handsome young man with ash brown hair and slender, well-trained build.

Special abilities

Venator's superpower allows him to target other supers and then both copy a weakened part of their powerset, while also developing some power to counter the super in question. His power has been noted for making him particularily difficult to deal with for other supers, while posing relatively little threat to unpowered individuals and teams of supers, assuming his stored up powerset does not affect his overall threat rating.

Apparel & Accessories

Venator wears yellow tinker-made armour into battle.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Contrary to assumptions, Jack’s childhood wasn’t particularly difficult - his family being middle class and unremarkable in almost every respect. It’s only with early teens that problems began, beginning with the manifestation of his powers. Although for a very brief time he enjoyed a boost in popularity, eventually he was faced with anti-powered sentiments from peers and teachers alike.   It didn’t help that his family soon found itself under pressure relating to registration, and likely sending him off to ‘a facility more suited for a child of his unique talents’. Never fond of authority and viewing enforced government work as just about the worst thing, Jack resorted to most extreme means a teen reliably could… which is to say, running away. Hitchhiking and stowing away eventually got him to Cape St. Joan, and led to him encountering one Julie Rey - similarly minded but even more intense - and the subsequent formation of what may very well have been the most infuriating rogue duo to date. The rest, as they say, is history.

Intellectual Characteristics

Jack’s most defining trait is, without a doubt, his drive to find… something - though what, even he doesn’t know. When not busy with escapism of various sorts - primarily via exercising his powers in some way - he’s a pleasant enough person, if a bit on the detached side, with a broad range of subjects and hobbies he at least used to have interest in.
