Adherent is a United States of America Rogue. He is part of The Crew, a super-run street gang in Cape St. Joan, Oregon.

Physical Description

Special abilities

Adherent has the ability to attach himself to any surface or object and likewise attach anything he touches directly and indirectly to anything touching those objects. This "indirect" chaining of his power range seems to limited to just one(1) in-between medium, though the mass and composition of said medium needs to be low an uniform enough.
Example: Someone standing on the same carpet as Adherent might find themselves attached to it, but standing on the same patch of land will leave him unable to attach his target to the ground.
He uses his abilities to obstruct and hinder his opponents, nagivate difficult terrain or bypass security measures, rather than focusing outright on dealing damage and engaging in direct combat.

Apparel & Accessories

Adherent's costume is rather restrained to the point of straining the definition of "costume", a point that has caused contention in the Sanctioned community on multiple occasions: He wears a black biker suit and a military-style helmet painted equally in black. His hands and feet are left bare, and various chains are wrapped around his body and arms.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Adherent began his career as a rogue as part of The Crew, joining them in late 2007.
In 2008, he was arrested by members of the Knights of Arc. As his criminal record on this was still rather short, he was sentenced to three years in prison. Despite an option for an early parole he served the full time in Port Joan High Risk Detainment Center.
Shortly after his release in 2011, he immediately rejoined the Crew and resumed his life in crime.
In 2018, he alongside the rest of the Crew participated in the hunt on Jane Doe during "D-Day".
Due to their frequent common deployment together with Speedrun and witness accounts of their personal interactions during those, it is presumed that the two are or have been dating.

Volume 1: Balance

In 2023 he participated in the Battle in the Docks against vigilante team Disequilibria and was subsequently arrested by the authorities when the Crew supers were defeated.
