The Candle Flinger

Coming from the harsh jungles of Algora, the Candle Flinger travels the world protecting cities from potential disasters.

Physical Appearance

The Candle Flinger has a secret identity, so the only physical description that people can provide are for their costume. Despite working with candles as their primary source of power, the Candle Flinger chooses to dawn harsh wooden armor. The armor is light and ineffective, but it serves as a reminder of their home, so they keep it close.   The Candle Flinger is about 5'8". They are thinly built and very agile. Occasionally, they appear in a colored cloak or exquisite costume, only to tear it off or burn it. The Candle Flinger is very passionate about putting on a good show when they fight.

Powers

The Candle Flinger is a sorcerer. They use their powers to levitate six lit candles around them. They use the fire from the candles in order to fight of evil, usually shooting spires of flame off of the little candle wicks.   The Candle Flinger also has magic candles for just about every situation. There are candles that, when smelt, make people more likely to speak the truth. There are candles that can slow the dying of someone in danger. There is even a candle that can reverse the act of death altogether, although this candle has only been seen once.

Their Past

The Candle Flinger hides their past from the world, putting on a superhero act to distract from the reality of their situation. They are running. Always. The Candle Flinger made a bitter rivalry at a young age with a (then small) demon. The two of them gambled on a game of dice, and the Candle Flinger won, earning their fire powers, but there was a cost.   It was written in the stars that day that the demon would eventually kill The Candle Flinger, taking their powers back, and pass it onto the next poor unfortunate soul to win that game of dice. The demon threatened to start burning the forest of Algora, in search of the Candle Flinger, so they left. The Candle Flinger never stays in a town for more than a week, as they know what the demon will do once they find the town.   In order to add purpose to their fleeting life, the Candle Flinger tries to go to towns that are in most need of protection. They are always there when big fights break out, and they always seem to fight for the fairest side. This is how they gained their hero status.
