Now retired from her career as a factory worker, Shirl spends her days with her life-long friends, Shirl’s Girls. Naturally, they find themselves dead center in random community shenanigans.

Education
Although pregnant most of her senior year, Shirl graduated with honors and had plans to go to college. However, marriage and childbirth had her working full-time in a factory with her now husband, Earle Ray, just trying to keep ends meeting.
Employment
Bellinger's Book Binding Factory -- Shirl put in 40 years of full-time work in the local book binding company. She started on the floor packing boxes but managed to work her way up to Human Resources with night classes and an associate's degree from the local community college. Never giving up on her dream as an investigative journalist, Shirl also penned part-time for the local newspaper, The Dillston Daily. From time to time, she still writes articles about her goings on around the neighborhood.
