Half Orcs

The half-orcs live there life in the easternmost part of Irath, were they live a warriors society. Honour, strength and martial prowess are the main thing that matters and few of them become scholars or mages. However their honour extends to those less fortunate, and an orc will never attack those who are already down.
- Ewald Merz, The 8 Species,

There has been a slow societal shift in Seroc Republic in recent times. The society is more open, to other races and pursuits. You are far more likely to orcish wizards, bards and druids, then earlier. The goverment has also been changing, with the right to challenge taking a more ceremonial role. We even got a few applications to join our order last year. I am truly happy for them.
- Guru Sefrai of The Way of Tavella

Half orcs used to live shorter lives, due to bad living conditions and frequent conflicts. Now in the days of the Seroc Republic most half orcs live almost as long as humans.

Civilization and Culture

History

Half orcs originally came from humans mating with orcs, often from slaves of either side. After the Second Great Orcish war and the extermination of orcs in the 590s, the half orcs were spared and allowed to found the their own community. Here the half orcs formed their own community, which eventually became the Seroc Republic.
