Neerse System
Geography
Neerse system bears many resemblances to Origin. For instance, Neerse contains two asteroid belts: one at the frost line and another at the outer edge of the system. In terms of planets, Neerse has merely two inner planets. Only one, Luerus, is habitable. Beyond the frost line, three gas giants exist. Its star is also a G0 star.
Man-made constructs pepper the system. A Dyson ring orbits the sun, serving as an important communication array and energy harvester. Neerse Station serves as an important way-point for travelers. Outposts on the many moons of the gas giants serve as agricultural centers and shipyards.
Fauna & Flora
The majority of flora and fauna exist on Luerus, or outposts and stations that support life. On Luerus, insectoid and avian species take advantage of the relatively gentle gravity and thick atmosphere, primarily by taking on a larger size and impressive flying techniques. Other areas of note are the singing plants, which produce sound to ward off creatures.
Natural Resources
Due to a lack of rocky planets and moons, Neerse is not in a prime location for the mining industry. Asteroid mining is a more lucrative business. Neerse's two asteroid belts contain large deposits of heavy and light metals. Another source of income are Neerse's gas giants, as two of three gas giants contain massive industries for He-3 extraction and refinement.
