Tyhill
A tiny thorp, troubled by terror.
"The thorp of Tyhill? What is there to say about it, other than it is be best place to get sturdy furniture and good labour for miles around. The citizens of Tyhill are more frequently seen outside their settlement, than their settlement is seen by outsiders. Founded forty years before the fall of the Farghalm Empire, the Tyhill has been plagued by dark spirits that some say guard the iron-like wood that the settlers came to mill. One hundred years later, their kin are still surviving in those dark woods, making claim to what those before them came to." - Brunithor Gustonn; A Guide to Marionne Volume One
The thorp of Tyhill stands hidden within a clearing of trees on a lesser traveled road and lies out of the way of major settlements. These things give Tyhill the defense of being too small and too far to be worth raiding or robbing. The population of Tyhill are trained with simple weapons to defend themselves.
This sleepy thorp deals in custom-made furniture, heirloom crops and hops which are exported to Redale, and the labour of the locals. One general store within the settlement carries all the dry goods, groceries and sundries that passer-bys could want.

Architecture
Timber board and batten walls with shake shingle roofs, grey with age and weather, make the construction of all the buildings in Tyhill. Heavy shutters, marked with the odd cut or arrowhead, wait to be closed at night on the sides of the windows of the houses and structures. Simple, yet quaint and rustic, the feel of Tyhill is that of comfort.
Geography
Thick pine and ceder forests lie around Tyhill, their untouched woods growing tall enough to mask the rolling hills that make up the area. Various grottos that lead into underground channels of the Bray River dot the surrounding region around Tyhill.
Natural Resources
Wood from the surrounding forest is in abundance, as well the town has a small farm that provides fresh food to the citizens of Tyhill.
