Dragon Universities
As the dragons clustered in the Throne of Wings, many came together to try to research magic in the hopes of finding a way to reverse the Curse. Unfortunately, breaking something is far easier than fixing it again.
Soon, humanoid spellcasters began to visit, pleading with some of the friendlier dragons to teach them magic. Seeing an opportunity, a couple silver dragons began a university modeled after the ones they'd seen in the Human Peninsula, both as a money-making opportunity and as a way of finding and educating lesser mortals who might be helpful in reversing the Curse.
It was a hard sell at first, but gradually, other dragons came around to the idea - especially brass dragons, who relished the idea of having someone pay to listen to them talk! Bronze dragons, too, took well to the structure of the university, and are frequently found as instructors. In addition, many of the Lesser Dragonkin enjoyed the idea of schools specifically designed for students more similar in form and abilities to themselves.
