Artificially manufactured by the Mathusians to serve as an army and police force, the Kryptonians rebelled against their creators establishing their own empire.

Physical Kryptonians are indistinguishable from humans without advanced imaging technology.
Genetics and Reproduction
Strictly speaking while Kryptonians do have genders, they do not have sexes. All Kryptonians possess an XX chromosome and their visible sex characteristics are purely cosmetic and they are incapable of reproducing naturally. In order to procreate all Kryptonians are bred in incubation chambers.
Growth Rate & Stages
Kryptonians grow up at a normal human rate hitting developmental milestones at the same time. Their heightened senses develop at a very young age, however their extraordinary strength does not develop until puberty.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Kryptonians do not have to eat food, they absorb energy from their environment and their cells synthesize all their own nutrients.

Kryptonians are nearly all physically identical except except for clear gender dimorphism between genders, as a result they have no notions of physical beauty instead focusing on each others personality characteristics. Having made themselves virtually indestructible and super intelligent, able to create advanced artificial intelligences, and grow crystal formations that to other species to have magical properties.

Kryptonian has both spoken and written forms, however it is primarily Empathic, using subtle body gestures such as muscle twitches and heart beats to communicate complex ideas extremely quickly.
Common Dress Code
As Kryptonians can see in the x-ray spectrum there is no nudity taboo, and their extreme resiliency means they do not need functional clothing, instead clothing is used to display status, accomplishments, and to intimidate inferior species.
