The islands which are known as Elven Sky Islands are floating high up in the sky

Localization

Researchers are still unsure of what causes the rocks to lift off the ground, they only are sure that they weren't in the sky from the beginning. Those flying islands appear over oceans, badlands, forests or grasslands, so the land does not seem to influence the phenomen.
