Tournament of 100
A traditional part of Dragon culture where 100 men sit in a circle and take turns fighting one-on-one until a single combatant makes his way around the entire loop, having beaten everyone still sitting.
History
This Competition is held at most Coricoan Dragons Caste Major Festivals, Holidays and Gatherings. It is meant to be a re-inaction of Wellem's battle against the 100 Champions of lesser Gods, his victory winning Jova the site of his first temple.
As the Tradition went on, it slipped from being simply a religious competition to a true tournament with prizes. At first, the prize was simply a medal or a pot of money. But soon, women started pledging to marry or simply bed the Champion. Being that this was a preferable result than the then common practice of kidnapping a bride, this quickly became an official and recognized reward for the tournament.
Execution
100 young single men kneel in a circle. Once everyone is ready, A member of the Jovan Clergy throws two sticks, Deciding the first two combatants. the two Fight and and the looser retakes his seat and the man to his left enters the ring and fights the victor. This keeps going until a single combatant completed the whole circle.
As the Battles go on, there are various ways that the circle will shrink. One, knowing they are no longer able to keep fighting might forfit their spot at the end of their bout by tapping their chest twice and bowing to the crowd. A KO will result in someone being forcible removed from the circle.
