Unicorn

Unicorns, found in some ancient Alelvish myths, are mischievous Spirits whose appearance is similar to that of an elongated Horse with wings and a long horn on its head. The tales describing them predate Horses and recorded history.   Those that believe in the existence of Unicorns tell all kinds of contradicting tales of them. Some claim they are true spirits that posess others and give them fortune by it, while others claim they are able to take a physical form. Both sides find their theories hard to prove due to their being no real proof or way to witness a real Unicorn.   However, there is a consensus among believers in regards to them being a powerful creature that brings not only good fortune whenever or wherever it is witnessed, but also one that wields mysterious powers of the unknown.

Basic Information

Ecology and Habitats

Some state that they exist in our world, while others argue that they came from wherever their unknown powers did, but nobody really knows the origins of the Unicorn.

Behaviour

Despite their reputation as mythical creatures of good fortune they are also described as creatures of mischief. Perhaps they're the ones who fabricated the many different tales to keep the dali guessing, although that would require the initial assumption of them being real to be true. According to an ancient Alelvish tale, a Unicorn has created the first Elf by giving an Alelf eyes to see, but taking away their ability to sleep in exchange - which reduced their average lifespan from 900 years to 700.
