Demonthorn Seed

This spiky seed with a bright, fiery center is what Demonthorns shoot out in order to reproduce. It's generally harvested by placing the plants inside a cave or similar environment where the seeds will hit the wall instead of flying away from the Farmers' reach. However this particular seed has another weird property it's sometimes used for, and it is its ability to hold a Spirit. A Spirit captured inside the Demonthorn Seed is unable to escape it, essentially giving the seeds a value by themselves. It is unlikely that any Spirit can be convinced to willingly enter the seed, so it's most often a tool used to capture weakened or defeated ones. The downside is that if a Spirit is significantly more powerful than the seed then it is able to break out once recovered - although worry not, as they've been known to be sturdy enough to hold Demons. The Demonthorn Seeds are used as the main ingredient for Fire Resistance Potions and Fire Immunity Potions, the latter of which requires the seed to be holding a Demon during the brewing - a fate some might consider a bit too cruel even for a Demon.
