Annual Goblin Decapitation Ceremony

An old fashioned Underdali Orc tradition that took place following Gwaarday, but is rarely celebrated anymore. They put several Goblins on stakes in a line. The contestants then charged along their line trying to decapitate as many of them as they could.   The timing of the event was done via one of the Goblins - whose life got potentially spared - being the "timer". The Goblin was chased along the line by the judge and whenever the "prey" reached the other side that's when the time was up. Any Orcs still not at the finish line at that point were disqualified.   The judges then counted the amount of Goblin heads on the ground in a given line. The contestant with the most heads was proclaimed the winner.

History

The practice faded into obscurity during the Age of Civilization due to the frequent Goblin uprisings threatening the stability of the nation ever since several new frontlines were opened - so the tradition was disbanded to favor the nations success in its permanent wars.

Components and tools

Each Orc was permitted to bring their own weapons into the contest. If someone forgot to bring a weapon they were given an Axe. Some weapons were large enough to cut the stake with the head itself, and some were able to even cut the body in half. An addendum was added to the rule that allowed these to count into the score too: "as long as the head and still attached parts hit the ground and the judge clearly deems the Goblin dead".

Participants

Needless to say the Goblins have not appreciated the ceremony and have held an annual uprising as a response.
Used to take place inside the territories of the Green Horde.
