The Capital Alliance

Once a year for several consecutive days, the leaders of each of the capital cities gathers to discuss the changes in the lands and to decide on unified laws for the Alliance. It it not often that drastic changes occur, seeing that each Capital is essentially free to make all of their own laws and such, but there are a few things that are necessary for the largest of civilizations in the current age to hold it's peace with one another.

Structure

Each member of the ruling cast in each Capital is given equal value within the Alliance. Any majors changes are handled through providing information, debating it's use/necessity, and finally a majority win vote. Some complain this is lopsided due to ruler-ship in each Capital being vastly different, and each obviously voting in their favor.
These members include: The Monarchy of Cawold, the Five Elders of Wastone, a set of three elders voted on annually from Caypool, the Six members of the Sapphire Council of Trebury, and finally the High Court of Seven from Hafeld.

Public Agenda

The Alliance's primary goal is the further the cause of humanity, and keep it from deteriorating as it did after the Great Cataclysm. Each capital has the resources another can benefit from, so trade is encouraged as well as passage of information.

Assets

The Alliance has the full backing of each of the five Capital Cities, it's armies, and its resources. These combined resources easily make it one of the most powerful organizations in the world.

History

The Alliance formed with the meeting of Trebury and Cawold. Both had need of the things the other could produce, and the people longed for the companionship of another people that could support them in need and provide fresh people willing to travel to the other. With time, as other Capitals were founded, they too joined the Alliance: Caypool, Wastone, and finally Hafeld. It has held together to this day, although it has not always been done smoothly. Never can any one place be content with what they have.
