  • Lathdag, 16th of The Claw of Winter, 1205 PoC
  • The first time the armies of Amn have succeeded in crossing the Torrid Wastes with a vast number of soldiers. When the onslaught began fire rained from the skies and in the chaos the Amn took control of the wall from the top down. The deathtoll numbered in the thousands when Astra had retaken Baldur's Gate at the end of the bloodfilled week.

Amn had found a way to cross the Torrid wastes with an army that numbered in the thousands, but their weapon in the Battle of the Burning Gate was a form of foul sorcery. When Amn unleashed their machines of war, fire was flung against and beyond the wall. As the Astra prepared for the siege of the bridge the fires that were set by Amn came to life and began terrorizing the city behind the wall and the battle for the bridge lasted for a mere hour before an entire platoon was burned to death.
