Anomaly

If neither native race speaks to you, you are allowed to make a case to be any other race from DnD 5e. Ask the GM to play as an anomaly.
Anomalies are races hailing from galaxies other than Daedalus. They travel through Galactic Anomalies, knowingly or not, and end up in Daedalus.
Thankfully Universal Translators know every language in the universe... somehow... so it is very easy to communicate with anomalies.
