Aalackosh Myth in D&D | World Anvil

Aalackosh

Demon Lord of Greed, The Endless Hunger

Aalackosh is the demon lord of greed, hunger and gluttony. Though most commonly associated with an insatiable need for food, Aalackosh's influence is equally abundant in those who would hoard wealth or power.     In the sprawling maggot meadows of Chaos lies Aalackosh's open maw of flesh and ragged teeth, a sickening gateway to his domain.

Tieflings of Aalackosh

Aalackosh's chosen fateborn typically have at least three, but occasionally up to six pairs of horns forming a sort of ivory mane. They are most commonly found in higher echelons of society seeking ever greater wealth and power.

History

A cult of Aalackosh took root at the The Purelake ca. 368. The cult's leader grew in power, ultimately becoming a shell conduit for Aalackosh's power and twisting into a Gluttonfiend. The death of this Gluttonfiend also marks the arrival of the Blessed Forge at the Purelake for the first time.
