Obsidian God of Death, Grief, and Shadows Michael Edward Wycliff

EARLY LIFE
Obsidian born "Michael Wycliff" was born into a poor family in Mire located in the country of Yershmier. Michael's father (Blaine Wycliff) and his mother (Chanel Wycliff) were both poor hard working farmers. As a result of being poor Michael grew up knowing the importance of hard work.
Michael never went to school, due to his parents needs for him on the farm. But Michael wanted to learn so every night he would sneak over to his friend Danton Strongcrest's house and get a little bit of tutoring from him. When Michael was 13 years old he got a little sister named Susie. Michael loved Susie and he knew that he would be the one to take care of her.
When Michael turned 15 he became a Freiwillge with the Sunspot. He made it past the first test knowing how to survive in the wild. But unfortunately he didn't pass the intelligence test and was sent back home. Michael wasn't that frustrated with what happened because he knew before he volunteered that he would never become a Sunspot.
THE SPELL PLAGUE
When Michael was 19 his entire life just turned around. One day Susie and Michael were playing in the fields trying to keep warm during the cold days. The life around the farm had been very difficult, so Michael tried to keep Susie occupied.
Unfortunately Michael got distracted and Susie wandered off into the nearby forest. Realizing what had happened Michael rushed off into the forest hoping to find his sister. While in the forest Michael got extremely lost. Trying to find a way to Susie and his home, he accidentally ran into a dangerous animal.
Michael had run into an Owlbear, he tried to avoid it but the Owlbear striked mortally wounding Michael. So there Michael lay alone and dying. But Michael wasn't alone, because the imprisoned god Vuar saw potential in Michael and reached out. As Michael lost consciousness he saw a beautiful medallion with an eye in the center of it.
The medallion spoke to him with the voice of Vuar, urging him to reach and take it. Michael reached out his hand and grasped the medallion. As soon as Michael did he woke and all of his wounds had healed. Michael realized where he was and where Susie was. As he was leaving the spot where he almost died the world turned upside down.
When Michael grabbed the ancient talisman he released the power of Vuar. So all of a sudden the sky turned grey, the air became poisonous, and the dead began to walk. Stricken with fear Michael quickly found Susie and brought her back to their home.
For almost a year the Wycliff had to battle the dead and starvation. This entire time Michael did not know he caused what is now called the Spell Plague. Near the end of the year, death struck the family. Three zombies charged the house and killed the entire house except Michael. When the zombies arrived they didn't even pay attention to him they just killed everyone else.
Enraged and overwhelmed with grief Michael gave up on life. Over and over he tried ot kill himself. By starving or by getting attacked by the dead. But nothing worked Michael could die, the medallion would not let him, Vuar would not let him. Vuar the god of death, grief, and shadows had sent the medallion down to Yershmier for Michael to find. The medallion was supposed to create many deaths so Vuar could gain more power and that's exactly what it did.
When Michael was at his lowest, Vuar reached out. He told him that he could help him take away all the pain and grief. Michael listened to Vuar orders and directions. So Michael traveled to the relatively new country of Cznar. When Michael arrived as instructed he released all his pain and anger. In doing so the medallion created a little glass ball for all of Cznar including Michael to be trapped in. And it erased every single memory of Golivion everyone in Cznar except Michael had.
In the real world the Spell Plague had stopped. But the fear and chaos Vuar created by stealing Cznar gave him more power. Now incredibely powerful Vuar broke from his chains and created another Spell Plague. But in the trapped world of Cznar everyone was happy and content, all except Michael.
A GENERAL
When Cznar disappeared Michael sensed the Spell Plague end. Michael had done it, he had avenged is family's death. Now happy Michael needed a way to enjoy his time in this world. So Michael joined the military.
Due to Cznar being relatively new it was suffering from a number of civil wars. So for years Michael worked with Cznar to help bring peace to the land. After 27 years of hard work Cznar was unified and Michael became general of the Cznar army.
Unfortunately the time of peace did not last long. When Michael had trapped Cznar a small island near the country (known as Beast Island) had started getting populated by a number of different monsters. These monsters were divided, but they were extremely dangerous.
So for many years Cznar had to defend against monster attacks. During one of his attacks Michael was injured by a group of orcs, while he lay on the ground bleeding out a hobgoblin came over and ended his misery.
Michael was given a glorious burial in the capital, but 9 days later Michael awoke. The medallion Michael always wore had apparently resurrected him. Eventually Michael escaped his grave. But Michael didnt want everyone to know he was still alive. So for a few years he laid low and went by the name Genkin Youngbrand.
5 years after his death the town Genkin was living in was attacked by a group of hobgoblins. Genkin rushed out to help but when he arrived he noticed he recognized the hobgoblin that killed him. Wanting revenge Genkin threw himself into battle, and killed the hobgoblin. Genkin took the sword that Hobgoblin used and kept as a trophy.
OBSIDIAN BEGINS
For 108 years Michael lived as Genkin. These 108 years were very strange for Michael who was 159 years, but appeared as his 30 year old self. The medallion Genkin wears has the ability to keep the wearer alive for hundreds of years.
Eventually Genkin got bored of the quiet house life he'd been living for years. Genkin wanted power, power over all. The medallion which was infused with the power of Vuar (who no longer exists, because he was killed shortly after Cznar disappeared) had slowly been corrupting Genkin for years.
Power hungry, Genkin decided he had to start small. He couldn't control of Cznar, so he traveled to the Underdark. There he traveled for many months until he found what he desired. Genkin had found a warlords hideout. Genkin strolled into this building and demanded to see whoever owned the building.
His request was denied, so Genkin killed all in the room with the Hobgoblin sword. Genkin walked into the throne room where he met his enemy. Sitting on a high throne was a man in a black stone masked named Obsidian. Gengik demanded the throne Obsidian holds. Refusing, Obsidian prepared for a fight but quick as a flash Gengik cleaved off his head.
Gengik took the mask and donned the mantle of Obsidian. Since there were no witnesses and no one ever saw what Obsidian looked like no one realized that Gengik was the new Obsidian.
For five long years Gengik ruled the Underdark as the ruthless Warlord Obsidian, and Gengik was starting to enjoy himself. Gengik now Obsidian loved the power and fear he held over others. But all came to a close one day.
A young deep gnome who went by the name of Wobbles, had recently found out that his parents were working for Obsidian. Enraged Wobbles and his good friend Ribbles decided to destroy Obsidian's operation. When this happened it was a completely normal day for Obsidian. But Wobbles and Ribbles had placed explosives all acros the building. When they detonated it killed everyone in the building except Wobbles and Obsidian.
Wobbles had not only destroyed Obsidians operation he also killed his parents (who were in the building) and his best friend. Searching through the rubble Wobbles eventually found Obsidian who was barely hanging onto life.
Obsidian was impaled on a support beam breathing softly. Filled with anger Wobbles released three shots one into the heart, the chest, and the final one in the head. So just like that Michael/Gengik/Obsidian died.
A WEARY TRAVELER
Just like before Obsidian came back to life. This time it only took two days. But he was broken mentally and physically, so for 24 years he mindlessly wandered the Underdark. Obsidian greed had not yet been satisfied and he wanted a way to gain more power. He had not been successful in trying to take over the darkness so instead he decided to take over the light.
Obsidian found a way out of the Underdark and traveled into the Feywild. In his travels in the Underdark he had heard of some sacred land that granted power to whoever settled on it. Unfortunately the land belonged to the Liaden family and only they knew where it was.
So for two years (only a few minutes in the real world) Obsidian wandered the forests of the Feywild trying to find the land or even the Liaden family. While Obsidian was there his appearance changed greatly. For a long time Obsidian's appearance had been changing. His skin was becoming paler, his veins were a dark prominent black. and his eyes were deep endless midnight voids. But now spending so much time in the Feywild his hair turned to a beautiful bright blue, and gained a quality every once in a while there would be geometric patterns floating through them.
Through his journey Obsidian eventually found two members of the Liaden family Vivian Liaden and her grandson Magiano. Overjoyed Obsidian remembered what he wanted and asked where he could find the sacred ground. Knowing exactly what he wanted Vivian refused and told him to leave and never bother them again. Obsidian was enraged he had spent too long trying to find the sacred ground, but the Feywild had messed with his head. So instead of killing the Liaden family he decided to keep searching.
A few days later he was attacked by three displacer beasts. Unprepared Obsidian ran, but unfortunately he ran into a very dangerous spiked tree. He was impaled through the head and quickly died.
THE KINGS MAN
Yet again propelled by greed, Obsdian was resurrected. Still trying to find a way to take control and seize power Obsidian found his way out of the Feywild. For a couple of weeks Obsidian wandered Cznar. He soon found out that a new king/governor had been crowned one Bertram Carrow.
Obsidian saw his opportunity and seized it. Obsidian spent many months getting into the King's inner circle using the name Sigurd Iguvu. When he gained the King's trust he killed the king's advisor. When the king needed to choose a new advisor Sigurd was the first pick.
For 5 years Sigurd worked as Bertram Carrow's advisor. Throughout these five years Sigurd adopted a new apprentice an orphan he had met in Sukabumi. Sigurd saw much potential in this young boy and brought him under his wing. Sigurd and this boy who was named Eurachan Cyrath worked behind the king's back to establish a secret organization known as the Devils Syndicate.
Unfortunately Bertram Carrow eventually found out about what Sigurd was doing. Enraged the king took his trusty sword known as the Skofnung Blade and drove it through Sigurd's chest and ripped out his heart. Sigurd was given a large funeral to keep up appearances. But after Sigurd's burial his Heart and the Skofnung Sword both gained a magical property to them.
THE HEART AND THE SWORD
After the burial of Sigurd, King Bertram and a couple of mages realized that the Heart and Sword had become magical. The king realized that in the wrong hands the heart and sword could be used for evil, so he sent them to an ancient cavern known as the Halls of Deception.
The sword and heart were locked into the Halls for almost a year until one of the dwarves, guarding the artifacts got corrupted by the heart. The dwarf stole the heart and sword and fled to Beast Island. While in Beast Island the dwarf gave the sword to some of the monstrous leaders of the island.
King Bertram Carrow discovered what had happened and went on a 5 year jounrey across Beast Island to try and reclaim the Sword and Heart. Unfortunately Bertram was only successful in recovering the Sword, before he perished in battle while trying to find the Heart. The sword was reclaimed by King Carrow's men (who went on the journey with him). But the Heart still remains in the clutches of Beast Island. 
When King Carrow was killed his soul was claimed by Sigurd now Obsdian who had been gaining power over the last few years. Bertram Carrow was resurrected and given power over the Skeleton Clan in Beast Island.
THE GOD OF DEATH,GRIEF, AND SHADOWS
When Sigurd was buried he wasn't resurrected again until his heart was stolen. So for a final time Obsidian was resurrected. Obsidian had one final plan which he knew would work. Obsidian had felt that the god who gave him power (Vuar) had died shortly after Cznar disappeared. When Vuar died the power instilled itself in Obsdian. So Obsidian finally decided to follow in the footsteps of the one who gave him power.
For years Obsidian used his power to gain a following all across Cznar, with all these worshipers Obsidian became Obsidian, god of Death, Grief, and Shadows. Obsidian gained so much power of the years that he found out a way to travel back to his home world of Golivion, that's what he did, and that's where he currently resides.
