The First Alchemist

Mysteriously schwooped to Cydonia about a decade before Ryloch's original rise to power, Ricky was beyond disappointed to learn that nobody in Cydonia smoked weed. He set off on a quest to discover the plant, but was unsuccessful. It appeared he would never get high again. The man dove into research, spending years learning about druidcraft until he achieved the mark of a master - a Timeless Body. From 35 years on, he would age at one tenth the normal rate.

But the magical stoner still couldn't achieve his only goal; creating cannabis in a world with no ganja. Collaborating with the best magical minds of the day, he made great advancements and discoveries melding the magic of this strange land with what he remembered from grade 10 science class. He called this new area of study "alcome", but it would become known under a different spelling: alchemy!

Armed with the knowledge he himself discovered Ricky began his task, retreating deep into the forest. Nobody knows how this happened, and Ricky doesn't remember, but when his assistant returned the next day with breakfast he was amazed to find his master, Cydonia's first and only alchemist, asleep at the base of a new tree. The tree looked different from all the others around it, heavy with sticky buds and covered in a cloudy haze. Ricky was grinning widely in his sleep, and he stayed that way for the rest of the morning and into the afternoon.

Though the method to create the special trees was lost, Ricky was able to take a cutting and spread the species across the land like he had always wanted to. Some climates proved difficult for the new trees and so he experimented with grafting the cuttings into different species, eventually creating oak, willow, birch, cedar, and the rare redwood cultivars.

Years later he would be recruited by the Cocks of Cydonia to join their effort to prevent Ryloch's second coming. He stayed in his room at the Dank Cave after the final battle and provides the guild apothecary services.
