MotorRonin
The MotorRonin are an outlaw biker gang. With numbers in the dozens, the MotorRonin are a sizeable presence throughout Milan’s Red Zone. At the lowest ranks, the M-Ronin are little more than a club of hooligan bike enthusiasts, and their impromptu street-races and parties are a constant headache for the city’s overworked police forces.
On the street, the MotorRonin gang uniform consists of a bright orange leather vest, a cutoff of the traditional tokkō-fuku, emblazoned with the gang slogan “弱肉強食” (“jjaku niku kyō shoku”; Literally: “The weak are meat; the strong eat”). This is usually paired with helmets and flak pants, spray-painted in a riot of garish colors and Kanji symbols. Street level M-Ronin are encouraged by their seniors to live ostentatiously, spending most nights joy-riding around the city, club-hopping, and graffiti-ing.
Between their flashy uniforms, and highly modified Arasaki bikes, the M-Ronin make a point of being visible. When not engaged in crime, their cultivated image is as standard-bearers for the cultural identity of Milan’s small population of Japanese migrants. While the older Japanese-Milanese often know better, the M-Ronin enjoy a certain amount of status as folk heroes among the poorer youth in the community.
