Distinguished Academy
Anyone can be a crook. It takes class and style to be a villain.Winchester's Distinguished Academy for the Sensible Malefactor, or the Distinguished Academy for short, was a notorious criminal gang founded by Roy Winchester. Based on the pillars of gentlemanly conduct, class, and the importance of discipline in the underworld, it became somewhat of a boarding school of crime, where students would learn not only how to pick locks, shoot straight, and launder money, but also the proper way to smoke a cigar, wear a suit, and court a lady. As his school grew, either by absorbing smaller gangs or by voluntary attendance, so did his influence and notoriety. Due to the rigorous discipline in the program, a student's efficacy would be nearly double that of a typical thug or gangster. After a few years, the Distinguished Academy was one of the most powerful criminal organizations in the wastes, a rival to the long established Orpheum Troupe or the Cismadores.
Structure
The Academy is organized like a Boarding school, with Winchester at the top as the Headmaster.
Below him are his lieutenants, the Housemasters. Three in total, they each led a different wing of the gang. They were the Provost of Disentitlement, The Dean of Accrual, and the Director of Acquisition.
Below them are the Professors, trusted sergeants in charge of training new recruits and educating them in both crime and etiquette.
Below them are Prefects, who would take charge during missions, followed by the students themselves, and then hopefuls who want to be accepted into the gang.
Disbandment
After the disastrous event known as the Boardroom Blitz, the gang was left decapitated, with the Headmaster and all of his Housemasters killed or M.I.A. The gang dissolved soon after, their territory being devoured by the up and coming Fatil Risma and their rivals, the Orpheum Troupe.
