The Expedition Beyond

Only three planes remain available to fly beyond the Mountains of Madness, one of which has been given over partially to the fine German scientists from the BFE expedition. The land beyond the mountains is on a high plateau, freezing and at an altitude preventing unassisted breathing - each team will need to bring oxygen, equipment, and supplies for the journey. As all of the planes capable of flying over the mountains are on the trip it is critical that proper selections be made.
The BFE has brought modern German Breathing Masks, far more efficient than the apparatus utilized by the Starkweather-Moore expedition. All of the expedition members aboard The Belle will make use of this equipment, while the Weddell and Enderby members will have the more primitive pipestem mask system.
The BFE also has more efficient high-altitude sealed oxygen tents which can function for up to two weeks on tanks of compressed oxygen, while the US team has simpler sealed tents that are only slightly more efficient than utilizing the masks.
Each expedition member will have approximately 3 days of oxygen.
