Glarva

Description

This subterranean cryture spends most of its time either eating, or looking for things to eat. A glarva's heated core requires a constant supply of fuel to keep it burning, as it bulks up the cryture in preparation for metamorphosis. Fortunately for them, glarvas are able to eat practically anything, up to, and including stone and other minerals. Packs of these crytures have been known to chew through miles of stone when other food is scarce, sometimes causing them to spill over into mine shafts that humans are working in.

Combat

While glarvas are not serious hunters, they are quite skittish, and will attack anything they perceive as a threat. That said, they are not very strategically-minded, and mostly strike out at whichever enemy is closest to them. Glarvas like to attack as many foes as possible at once, so blast powers are their favorite means of attack. If they find themselves outmatched, glarvas won't hesitate to burrow their way out of a fight.
