Flittox

Description

Flittox are highly social crytures that live in subterranean caves, usually in a pack of siblings or other close relatives. They often visit other packs as well, seemingly to check on each other and share their experiences with other crytures in the area. Their toxin, which can be delivered through bite or breath, makes the victim sluggish, which they use to harry elusive prey until it's too weak to put up a fight.

Combat

Thanks to their flight feature, Flittox are highly mobile combatants, and prefer to use hit-and-run tactics to avoid getting pinned down. Their best bet is to inflict ongoing damage, then pepper their enemies with other crippling effects until their foes succumb to their wounds. Flittox are cunning enough to coordinate their attacks, so they may work in pairs, or even trios, to cover for each other.
