Vaspaurus Research Division

The Vaspaurus Research Division is a branch of the country's federal government focused on the world's science and history. At first, a group of independent scholars, it joined up with the nation of Vaspaurus on a mutual agreement of information, standing, land management, and tools.

In one instance, the Vaspaurus Research Division managed to secure an entire Archipelagic nature reserve for research. This may have earned ire from tourism companies, as it meant that all tours had to be heavily regulated, but the one-hundred-year-old policy stands to this day in the belief that unmonitored contact could seriously dame the island chain's many endemic species. As a matter of fact, the organization chose an island just outside of the reserve to build a new ecological headquarters and the boom town that followed.

The Vaspaurus Research Division work culture has always been a mystery to those outside of it. In reality, the workplace is mostly serious, but occasionally relaxes, like on Casual Friday. Even then, some employees choose to ignore it.

History

The Vaspaurus Research Division originated as an independent study group that sought to uncover the world's secrets. The Vaspaurus government soon found out about the group and asked them to offer their services. Though hesitant at first, they realized that they would need government protection and resources to reach every last frontier. Recently, they have been particularly intrigued by a mysterious magical anomaly in the walled nature reserve surrounding the Bengar Archipelago.
