The Core Worlds

Beating heart of the Empire

Arthur, Percival, Gareth, Galahad and Morgan; the five core worlds of The Empire of Eias and, by extension, the political centre universe. The Core Worlds have been the centre of galactic life for so long they have become inseperable from another; the individual planets are like the head and limbs of one body. While most capital planets have been transformed into ecumonopoleis, the seperation of the five important duties over five worlds has spared the Empire's captial of this fate.
Now, however, they are surrounded in a massive sphere of The Membrane; closed off from the rest of the galaxy for any form of communication and travel. No one knows why or how. With the Emperor missing and many central institutions unreachable, galactic life has been thrown into disarray.

Arthur

Natural Satellites 2
Year* 342 days
Day* 26 hours
Population 1.2 Billion
Arthur is the crown; the seat of the Holy Emperor and his church, and the de facto head of the core worlds.  It's majestic, deep blue ring system can be seen all over the Arthur system as a mark of the emperor's divinity. Equally impressive are the palace grounds, visible from orbit even on the daytime side.

Percival

Natural Satellites 0
Year* 331 days
Day* 22.9 hours
Population 1.9 Billion
Percival is the quill; the administrative and bureaucratic centre of the Empire, as well as the home of one of the largest communication arrays in the galaxy. Percival houses the corporate headquartes and guildhalls of countless businesses, as well as courthouses recognized the galaxy over for being swift and just.

Gareth

Natural Satellites 1
Year* 112 days
Day* 41.3 hours
Population 0.9 Billion
Gareth is the plough, responible for feeding the populace and manufacturing the daily necessities. Being just far away from its parent red dwarf to maintain an orbit, Gareth's vegitation, and thus the Core World's food supply, has a distinct red colouring. The patches of land unsuitable for agriculture are home to facilities processing foods and fabricating all the items used by the citizens of the Core Worlds and beyond.

Galahad

Natural Satellites 3
Year* 512 days
Day* 25.1 hours
Population 0.3 Billion
Galahad is the sword; with drydocks the size of dwarf planets, is the seat of the Imperial military and navy. Its humble ring system is host to numerous gun platforms, advanced sensors and ship repair facilities. The brunt of the imperial navy was destroyed in the great war, but Galahad's massive subterranean factories had replenished their naval strength within 10 years, an unprecedented accomplishment and a stark reminder of why the Empire is still the galaxy's top-dog.

Morgan

Natural Satellites 0
Year* 60,265 days
Day* 127.3 hours
Population 0.8 Billion
Morgan is the staff; home to the most comprehensive array of arcane and academic institutions known to the citizens of the cosmos. A dark planet quite far from its parent star, it was chosen for its vast store of Caloric. The planet has been ravaged on multiple occasions by arcane manipulations and testing going awry. As such, most of its population are mages and researchers, housed under the planet's surface.
