The Emperor's Palace

The Emperor's palace is the head of government in Eritrea, as it is where the Emporer, his family and his advisors live. It is located in Si city, the capital of the Etrian empire.

Purpose / Function

Head of government, houses the Emporer and his family.

Alterations

Over the years Emperors have added new rooms to the palace, such as extending the pantry, creating a room with a portal to The Otherside, adding a multi-floor storage basement (and extending it, currently the basement has 7 floors), a dock, a currently empty room, the West Tower, the New Tower, access to a mine, seperate sleeping quarters for different servants, a laboratory, a garden growing (Insert Drug Name), a dungeon and a private altar for only the emperor and his family. Most of these new rooms keep roughly the same architectural style, where possible, although not much is known about the altar, as nobody except the Emperor and his family are allowed to see inside it.

Architecture

A lot of the building is located underground to escape from the heat of the nearby desert, with only the East Tower, West Tower, New Tower, guardhouses, walkway and the farm located above ground. Mostly stones and woods have been used to build and support the structure

History

The palace was originally a small Dwarven settlement, and whilst the structure of the original settlement is still evident, a lot of it has been torn out. The original access points to the Dwarven mines were blocked up, although a new access point has since been added. Not much material is present, as the Dwarves had already mined a lot of it.
