Takamoto
The Takamoto were a precursor culture that formed on the mainland. The values that they strongly held involved the unity of their people and the mutual exploration and documentation of the natural world. The Takamoto were nearly wiped out due to a disaster similar in nature to the disaster documents by the Altinum people.
The Takamoto would go on to form three major cultures still present in the world:
One group would form the Haechon people.
Another would form the Sok Yong people.
Those of the Takamoto who were out at sea traveling and exploring the archipelago were beached on many of the islands during the disaster. As time passed these people would come to believe their exploitation of magic threw off the natural balance of the universe which in turn caused the disaster that cost them everything. They swore off magic for good and and burned all of the knowledge they considered to be non essential. From that point forward the group of survivors took to the sea and began living a more natural life sailing and exploring the archipelago. These people would form the Madja people.
