Hallow's Eve

Hallow's Eve is one of two sister cosmological events that occur opposite of each. Alisanne's Blessing occurs on 28th of Blossomtide and Hallow's Eve occurs on the 28th of Harrowing. The moon Celene has six month lunar cycle that hits its climax on both of these days. The day of its climax also coincides with an eclipse with the moon Lune, passing in front of Lune on Alisanne's Blessing and behind it on Hallow's Eve. During both days the world experiences unique magical effects that can have lasting consequences and benefits. With Hallow's Eve the power of Pact magic and Necromantic Magic are multiplied and it is also said that a person's bad luck is greatly during this period. Throughout the eclipse Lune glows a dark red hue and casts the hue across the the landscape. Due to the increased power of Necromantic magic and the red glow, the eclipse has earned the moniker "The Blood Moon".    Hallow's Eve is unique, being the only Last Day of the year where it is considered bad luck to set out on journey's. The origins of Hallow's Eve are shrouded in mystery and many legends have twisted and warped regionally over the last few hundred years. Many villages will have their own unique tale used to scare children into not going out on Hallow's Eve. The reason for such tales is due to a palpable increase in both naturally occurring necromantic magic and a tangible increase in bad luck.

Occurs:

28th of Harrowing
