Gisha River and Delta

The Gisha River, which forms the Gisha delta, is a south to north flowing river system that springs at Yhivi Yon-Gisha and drains into Om-Gisha, an inland lake, 4 months of the year, and then flows into the ocean from alie yon-alie when the Monsoon Season starts in Glambs, until the waters dry sufficiently, usually around Rivermonth.   The regular flooding, known as the Inundation, replenishes the surrounding soil and is what grants the surrounding soil excellent agricultural yield. This, in turn, is why the Yhivi people are as populous as they are. Because the terrain of the neighboring Huge, Terrible Desert is almost completely inhospitable to permanent settlements, and because The Okaylands are part way to inhospitable, the Gisha valley is arguably the most densely populated region in Adellon, along with The Kesh Forest.
