Unitia

Unitia is the northernmost continent in Craedock, consisting of an archipelago of ten major islands. Some of these islands exist in permafrost, while others might enjoy a temperate summer. Unitian winters are harsh, and the seafaring culture of Craedock lead to the first development of icebreaker ships here in Unitia. 
The continent is separated, but not isolated, from the rest of the world by the Ravagewaves, a series of semi-perpetual hurricanes that lie in the vast ocean between Unitia and Nevvalair and Acronia. While these storms do have periods of relative calm, they make travel to Unitia an ordeal to be reckoned with. As a result, the cultures of Unitia mostly live free of outside influence. 
Unitia contains Canolith, home of the World Synod of Craedock.
