Mechanics & Inner Workings

The 6068 is chambered in 9.5mm, Caseless and uses a 16 round magazine. It has an orange illuminated front blade sight and exposed rear hammer.
An ambidextrous safety is located above the trigger, with a matching ambi magazine release behind the magazine housing.
2 gas tubes, one below and one above the barrel, reset the hammer and chambers the next round.

History

The 68th sale model in the 6000 series was introduced in 2099 as a replacement to the much less loved 6067. The older model suffered from feeding problems and frequent stovepiping. The 6068's introduction of a second gas tube that moved around and through the magazine housing addressed the problem and allowed for the addition of 2 more 9.5mm rounds.
Its full size, moderate weight and high accuracy compared to rate of fire made it a favourite among law enforcement, but it was equally as popular in the underground world. Despite its immense popularity in the Nodum System, it never gained a foothold among non-Nod species. However, during the early decades of the War of Devastation, it made its hands into many smaller factions and rebellion groups.
